  • Make your own plug-ins

FilterMeister is a Plug-in Maker and Filter Development Tool for Adobe Photoshop, JASC Paint Shop Pro, and other compatible graphics applications

Not freeware per se, but does let you make your own plug-ins for non-distribution for free. You have to pay in order to make your filters distributable.

PowerRetouche and Goldpanner AcuFilters were made using this utility.

Looks like you need to be a programmer to use this. Not what I would call user friendly but then again very useful to those that unlike me really know what they are doing.

It seems to have some pretty decent tutorials, but even so, it's way over my head. Could be a neat little toy for others though.

Hi , I'm curious about the range of additional plugins available to Ps & if they really can enhance the image editing process or are they generally just dressed up automations for what can already be achieved manually within Ps?

Some of the plugins I've come across so far include...

I have quite a few Plugins installed but they are not all showing up when I try to apply a filter. Do I have too many? Is there a limit?

        Hello Folks!
I'm presently receiving many solicitations offering Photoshop plugins, like Alien Skin's Bookeh 2 (blur) or an Italian feature: Alce (dodge).
You Folk do think that they are really performant? Are they doing thinks definitely better than the 'simple' Photoshop?
