  • Video Enhancing Software?

Hi. I have a bunch of videos of my friends who happen to be musicians/bands/etc. However, I need a really good but decent priced or even free software that corrects shakiness of camcorder, reduces/removes "noise," fixes dark video and other lighting issues, fixes reddish color from a stage that they play on, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The least expensive video editor that will come anywhere close to what you are looking to do is Adobe Premier Elements. The learning curve is a little steep though, if you're new to video editing.

Thank you for your help. Yes I am new to this video editing. Even new to the photo editing stuff. Thanks again.

You can have a look at virtualdub which is free and its many free filters if it's only corrections you want to do.

        http://www.virtualdub.org/

Deshaker for virtualdub here for example :

Also there is avisynth which is also free but using this one is not for the faint hearted as it is only a frame server dll which requires scripting but like vdub it has tons of add-ons filters for enhancing videos, etc...

Virtualdub filters can also be used in Wax btw. And Wax is a rather powerful free video compositing software.

It's not compatible with Vista which is what I have. I have used PowerDirector from CyberLink before and liked it but didn't know if there was a better one out there that's compatible with Vista and pretty easy to use. Thanks for the replies though.
