  • PS Elements 2 announced

    Details here

Looks to me like a step backwards. Basically all wizards and auto stuff. At least with version 1 it looked enough like PS so you could migrate later on once you outgrew it.

Looks like Adobe is getting serious about cutting into the market of applications like Ulead Photoimpact, that pack gobs of user-friendly (compared to native Photoshop) functionality into a low-priced offering.

A new image browser? A "red eye" brush? (so-called) Easier to use Help system? What's next? A tool bar with customizable buttons? Now, that would be something.

Interesting progression: Photoshop LE, Elements 1.0 and now 2.0.

Thanks for posting, Doug. Interesting marketing package.

Is it possible to apply a watermark in PS Elements 6 (Mac)?

If so, how about batch watermarking?

      Thinking of Switching to PS
      by feivel
I have resisted this for a while but I'm thinking of switching to PS from PSP (one reason is so that i can save time on forums by typing 2 letters instead of 3).
I really am very very hesitant about shelling out $600 which is more than my camera cost. So....

      What I really need...

      PS Elements 4
      by MaryLynn
I just received the online offer from Adobe for PS Elements 4 and Premier 2 (for video editing). I'm looking forward to reviews on this new version since I haven't upgraded to Elements 3 yet.

      OK, first some history.

I've been out of photography for quite a few years after having my own darkroom when I was in highschool in the '70s. Now I've gotten the digital bug and I have a Fuji Finepix and plan on getting a DSLR next year. I would like to get serious about this as a hobby...
