Filter Forge II open beta

ok, all you texture and art effect plugin lovers, filter forge just recently released the first stage of open beta for filter forge II! one was amazing, but II is just jaw-dropping! some of the new components are simply brilliant and, during open beta, it's completely free to try. you might even win a free copy by helping test and reporting bugs. at least, that's how they did it the first time through.

i'm not an official spokesperson for filter forge, so, i'm not going to try to give you the whole low-down on all the new stuff. just go take a look for yourself ( http://www.filterforge.com ). download the 2.00 beta and install and try it out.

they are doing version two differently during beta. they're releasing various upgrades in stages this time. there are at least three stages currently planned. each stage will add new features and components or upgrades to the user interface. so, stage one is out and folks are already producing some pretty cool stuff. check out the new beta 2 forum to see some of the results

and here's a small example of a filter i recently made using at least one of the new components, a 'median' component. attached is the original flower picture posted also in the art forum and then the recent rendition using the new filter.
