Greetings to all:
I recently acquired a Wacom tablet with Painter 5 on ebay for $35 believe it or not. I have wanted to try Painter for a couple of years. I've been retouching soley with Photoshop (2.5 thru 7).
Now, I want to emulate the old fashioned pastel/charcoal portrait retouching of old--you know, the kind that you touch and wipes off on your hand (smile)?
Anyway, I'm not sure if I ended up with a stolen/pirated copy or what. But it has tutorials and all the files. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get started (especially if I was supposed to have a manual with it?!?!?)
Does anyone have any recommendations to get me started on the right foot (for painting/retouching portraits)? Is everything I need under my nose in the Painter 5 software files? I just don't know.
Thanks!
Eric
