Photoshop problems

Hi guys,
I've just reinstalled Photoshop CS5 and for some reason I can't open images except through the open file function in photoshop.
If I try to open an image in photoshop from bridge or else where I get the following message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

Has anyone else had this problem?
It's a genuine copy of CS5.

What happens if you just double click on one of the files in an open folder window or on your desktop?

The same error message comes up. Searching around it appears to be a problem with hacked PS . Namely a .dill file in the 64 bit version.

I know I have a genuine copy but wondering if the .dill file could have messed up?

When you re-installed it, the file associations may have gotten screwed up. Try right clicking on a file and select Properties. Where it says Opens With: re-establish the link to PS even if it indicates PS already. Just navigate to where your current 64 bit exe resides.
See if that works.
