What 3D programs are the most popular among the agencies that sell this sort of work? In other words, if one was to learn the craft, what programs should that person spend the time, money, and energy to learn?
What procedure do they use on the new TV still commercials to simulate 3D? It looks like they're separating a foreground image or images from the background to create an effect of varying distances.
I'm interested in playing with the idea.
This is the "lite" version of the software Scott Valentine recommended in his 3D show. I've used the full version, it's capable of some very good results. This might be an excellent way to dip a toe in the 3D waters.
