I was trying to download a file but when it was completed I was unable to open it as it was in hqx format. I don't think I've ever come across that before does anybody know what it is? are they Mac files?

I've bought and downloaded HPPE2 for Mac on www.hiddenelements.com. But after unzipping the downloaded package I ended up with one single unusable file (no Readme etc.). It is an executable Unix file, but nothing happend on doubleclicking.

I was working on an image resoration of an old family photo in Photoshop CS. I saved it, reopened it, worked on it, saved it, and then the bird hit the fan! I can't open it anymore.
Suggestions?

I have HPPE2 and Photoshop Elements 2.0 on Windows XP. I need to create a CMYK EPS file to send to a magazine. I am following the procedure on pages 143 and 144.
