This is a tiny little freeware program that will shut off the plugins no one in the real world uses in Adobe Reader (formerly Acrobat Reader). It seriously speeds up the time it takes to launch. Plus, if you ever do find you need it for a secure international bank form transaction, it will turn them back on again. It doesn't remove anything, just toggles stuff off.
Highly recommended.

Anybody heard about this or seen its ramifications discussed online? It was announced May 8 but I just got the word... I work in higher ed IT where we use Adobe CC 2018.
