  • A little trick I learned for Internet Explorer

Many of you probably know about this, but just in case.
If you use Internet Explorer as your browser and are viewing a picture, hit F11 on your keyboard... It will buy you some extra real estate. To go back into regular browser mode, hit the button again.

I was told it does not work on Netscape or AOL browsers.

Yes, thanks, Carl! I hadn't bothered to learn shortcuts for Explorer, but that one is useful -- love to see more of the image.

I'm probably the only person who didn't know this until now, but just in case I thought I'd share it.

I usually keep both Netscape and IE running for those times when a page just doesn't load properly in one browser, I can switch to the other. Also if you're into web development, you...

        Floating Menu
        by metabug
Hey, sorry to ask such a newbie question, but:

Is there a way to turn off that floating menu on the left side, and basically freeze it in place as normal HTML ? It's kind of annoying to navigate that menu, especially since not all browsers handle it correctly.

        Browsers

In a moment of weakness and on a friends recommendation I've just installed Netscape 6 to compare it with Internet Explorer. I just thought I'd ask what browsers people use and if anything else pops up as well as the usual Netscape and Microsoft offerings.

        Thanks

        Firefox
        by nebgranny
Awhile back when we were having problems with spyware someone here suggested Firefox. I am thinking of using it but have some questions first.

If Idownload it does it take over for IE ? Meaning will I still have that browser on my computer as well after I put Firefox on ? If both are...

        Am I losing my mind....
        by winwintoo
I was beginning to wonder, but I found out that I'm not and I learned something in the process.

When you're checking your page in your browser, be aware that the browser may not re-load images. If you make changes to an image file and the changes aren't showing up on your page, you may...
