Try Irfanview. It's an image viewer and batch processing software. I've used it and it saved me tons of time converting multiple images at once.

You can download it for free from their site.

      Batch Downsize

Yes, Photoshop was designed to do that. First you create an action to open the image, change its size, and save it. Then in PS, just do File>Automate>Batch and slect the action that you just created and the folder that all of your images are in. PS will take care of the rest of it.

          Batch resize
          by cud22
          Evening all,

i have a couple of dozen scans, all of various sizes that were scanned at 1200dpi (i was over-enthusistic and under-educated in the scanning of prints).

is there anyway to batch resize the images to 300dpi?

          regards

          btw...

Is there a way to automate the task of resizing multiple images on the fly in Photoshop 7?

          File > Automate > Batch
          by DannyRaphael
Here are some common applications of the File > Automate > Batch dialog:

          * Converting images from one file format to another, e.g.,.jpg to .tif or one color space to another, e.g., RGB to CMYK

          * Changing image size and/or resolution for, say, a web gallery
