  • how can I get this effect?

    http://cowbelly.com/decopawart.html

I love this effect. It's kind of like popart, andy warhall, but just seems to be a touch of it. All the tutorials I have found on popart have been just too intense. Any help/tutorial would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Janice

Looks like posterize and gradient color mapping was used. Like the look.

You can also achieve the same effect by decreasing the colour depth to 16 bit.

Ziaphra i know this may sound real stupid but how do you do that ! I went to image>mode chose the 16 bit channel and no difference

Perhaps I should have stated I use PSPv9. You may have to hunt around a bit for the cs one.

I got fairly close using image->mode->Indexed Color

thanks, videosan, love it.... one question. What do I have to do to save it as a jpg file? I don't seem to have that option after putting the effect on it.

Using the method from videosean: image->mode->Indexed Color
Just change the mode back to RGB image->mode->RGB then save
