has anyone else had the experience of using the clone tool w/ aligned deselected and a few strokes down the road, behold, aligned is selected, tho i didn't do it. i figure i must be doing something to make that happen but don't know just what. using the tablet, in case that is significant.

I haven't noticed that one but I have a problem where my tool cursors get mixed up alot. Like I go to sample something and I get a crop icon or maybe a pait bucket. It will do the task for the tool I've selected but just with another tools icon. It's totally random and sometimes I really need the right icon cursor to see where I am pinpointing as in a selection or sample or something. I have Adobe baffeled on this one.
Don't you just love these little quirks no one can figure out? Sorry I can't help you though but I can identify with you.
I really think Photoshop has gotten so big now that it is a living breating entity with a mind of it's own.

I found that even using PS 4 with less than 256 of Ram I had frequent lock ups and some very strange things occuring. Boosting the ram and reinstalling the program cleared this up. I suspect that the less RAM you have the more prone to "glitches" PS is. At the rock bottom price of Ram now, slipping in one or two 256mb chips might save a lot of future headaches. Tom

This is about the only other thing I can think of:
When using my Wacom, my ham-hands would frequently trigger the little clicky thing on the side accidentally, causing all sorts of mischief. So I disabled it.
Or maybe, when you hit the Alt-key to reposition (and here's hoping you do that almost every tap)(no strokes) perhaps you inadvertently hit some other combination?
Just guesses.Learn by teaching

Doug,
I think you might have something there. I've caught myself hitting keys unintentionally before, and I probably have done it many times, but not caught myself doing it.
Tom,
I did delete the preferences file, but it might be that I'll have to reinstall Photoshop.
Anybody,
Kathleen said she had over 800 megs of RAM. Why is it that Mac users seem to have a lot more RAM than PC users? Just wondering.

by rnbluvvaDoes anyone know of a good tutorial that shows how to make a thin lip fuller?
I found some good ones on enhancing color, but none that have been good for making lips fuller.
I tried bloating the upper lip, but it just looks terrible. I also tried copying and pasting the upper lip...-

by sprintermattOK, I started having clone too issues the other day, and I've tried a reboot, played with settings, and can't get it to work right. It's basically working except for certain horizontal and vertical strips seem to be permanent, causing the area to be cloned to have odd jpeg like artifacts. Tried it on...
