    Color sampler vs eyedropper tool, difference

    Hi, whats difference between color sampler and eyedropper tool?
    To me it seems both do same thing, sample color from specific place in picture, and display it in RGB/CMYK/... format in info panel. Sure I'm missing something!

    One stays in exact same spot until you remove it. The other can load colors into the foreground/background colors on the toolbar.

    And the info panel will display the color no matter what tool is active.

        This may be a silly question but I have set my sampling points for black and white. I did my adjustments on the curve. Now, that I am done how do I get rid of the two points that are still visible on my image so I can do the rest of my work.

        A quirky and intermittent problem here using the color replacement tool in CS3. -- While laying down a dark color over a targeted lighter area -- it only lays down a light opacity version of that darker replacement color. Have tried every variable I can think of. Any ideas?
