  • Auto fill in layer bounding box with color?

I would be helpful for me l if there was a script that would take the bounding box for selected layers and fill it with a block of color. Like a "Redaction script"

I sometimes need to send test files other people, but they shouldn't see the actual content of some of the layers (security reasons). And it would take hours to fill up hundreds of layer by hand with a block of color.

Close! But your script is doing the equivalent of "preserve transparency" then "fill". I need the contents of each layer filled with color — limited by the bounding box of each layer's contents.

That's amazing! One last itty bitty favor -- would it be possible for the script to use the Foreground color?

Also, it errors out if any text layers are selected. (any way for it to fail elegantly if it runs into a live text layer?)

No problem, text layers are now filled and the foreground colour is used.

Hi Paul! Maybe you uploaded the old script?

It's still filling layers with black and erroring out if it hits a live text layer.
(I also notice it errors if a Folder is selected)

Brilliant! Works like a charm! Thank you so much. You have (actually? literally? practically?) saved me 12 hours of work!

                    Color Replacement
                    by midnitejam
                    Hi everyone,
I have two snaps and they have different exposures/white balances. How can I replace the overall cast of #1 with that of #2?
I suspect there is a "quick step" to accomplish this. example, Image/Adjustments/Replace Color or Match Color; but I haven't been able to...

Color replace tool has never been good to me . Any advise would be welcomed .

                    Stupid adjustment layer tricks
                    by Doug Nelson
Don't ask me why I think of these things, I simply can't not think of them. But I got to wondering, what combination of adjustment layers would desaturate an entire image except for a single selected color (or range of color)?

A Hue/Sat adjustment layer can be set to desaturate just reds,...

                    local color correcting
                    by WandererX
I'm having a little bit of a problem with my local color management and was wondering if someone could give me some advice. Couple of questions here. First, if I'm dodging out a dark area on the skin and one layer doesn't get the tone light enough would I add a second layer and dodge with two layers?...

Create a very flexible custom color palette for use with your Adobe PhotoShop projects. Once created, just open the file and move it off to the side for easy color selections while working in the main window of your project. The palette allows you to view/select the basic colors, monochrome schemes,...
