  • Re: Share color quality from one photo to another?

Never mind. I just figured it out. It's Image, Adjustments, Match Color.

  • Share color quality from one photo to another?

I used to perform an operation in Photoshop that used a standard (but not well-known) ability, but I forgot how to do it. And so there is no confusion, I'm not talking about a layer technique or color blending mode or combining two images so one is superimposed or merged with another.

They have a several free plugins there. I've also used their free Seamless Workshop.

Anyway, what they did with this version is add a powerful sharpener. Sharpeners cranked up high become edge effects, and can also add texture to minor edges. It also has...

Well, Version 3 is out. It's not a small upgrade. The additional sliders are significant. I have not tested it much, but some new sliders appear to do nothing until other sliders are turned up. So it takes a little getting used to. Be sure to notice the colorize b...

    Re: Free Simplifier

I ran a few pictures through version 2 and the extra sliders were making it harder for me to get results I like. So I tried to see if I could take a version 1 setting and translate it into version 2. Then use this as a starting place. I got very close. But I cannot...

    ElementsXXL (Win)

I was taking a look at the web page for ElementsXXL. It's a new product that adds features into the interface of Elements for Windows.

Knowing that some people here use the Hidden Power tools, I was wondering if anyone here has tried this new product?

    Dang!

I was just reading some of the instructions I posted here when people asked how I did something. I can't understand a word I'm saying. I would never be able to duplicate what I did following my own instruction.

Since you already have Perfectum, check out what it does for Fine Touch. It takes the hard edge of the simplification and turns it into a soft one. Or, at least on the one picture I tested....

    Free Simplifier

Redfield plugins just released a free simplifier called Fine Touch. My quick impression is its simplifier algorithm is better than Buzz Pro. It seems to be better behaved at higher levels of simplification. What Fine Touch lacks is other features, such as edge finding lines. All it has is a simplifier...

    started a topic Review: FilterHub

    FilterHub

FilterHub is a Photoshop extension that makes it easier to run filters and adjustments. Instead of having to open a menu every time you run a filter, FilterHub provides a panel that you can keep open in the work area, or docked with the other panels. (IOW, it fits seamlessly into the Photoshop interface)....

Re: Nik Software swallowed by Google

Snapseed was such an unusual direction for Nik to go, I can't help but think they were trying to get Google's attention. Sort of like back in the days when people would develop something just so Microsoft would buy them out.

Wow. I'm looking at the monochrome images by Palms and Peter S. Both have a nice softness but also a great clarity. Could you explain how these were made?...

Good call. I forgot about that. A 32 bit plugin will not work in 64 bit PS CS5.

Of course, you could run it in 32 bit PS CS5. When I did my installation, the installer loaded 64 bit and 32 bit. It might be sitting...
