Re: Painting on Wood and Fire Damage

Finally got a chance to talk to her. Very briefly. She has decided to leave it damaged as-is for the time being. Some scars are a part of the journey and all that. Beautiful and sad. But respected.

I had a chance to talk to her for a few minutes tonight. I passed on what you said, Tony.

Now, she did say that she doesn't know what kind of paint was used and that she is fairly certain that it wasn't sealed in anyway. She also said...

Painting on Wood and Fire Damage

There is this lady that I know. A few months ago, her house burned down. Slowly but surely they have been finding little survivors in the ruin.

One such survivor is an old painting on wood. An old family piece. However, it did take some damage. I haven't seen the piece, but the way she...

The modeling procedure alone is more than enough for me. Assumming you can export to a 3d format and all that.

I got zero points... because I rock! How to enter answers? Keyboard or mouse? When I clicked with mouse, no indication that I had selected a key. When I tried the keyboard, my browser hotkeys took over.

Know that I am using IE 8, which quite...

IE 8 and I randomly checked a few pages. Looked fine to me. Also looked fine in Opera 9. Older than what you asked for, but it never hurts.

    Re: Voice Controlled GIMP

Anything with hotkeys can pretty much do that. Map a word/phrase to a key and viola.
For example, saying "undo" equals ctrl+z.

I tried it a very long time ago and it wasn't for me. Training the software was too extensive and background...

Fascinating. Makes me wonder if Dickkopf-1 plays a role in Alzheimer's.

Also makes me wonder about evolution. What is the evolutionary advantage of DK turning on and stiffling new neurons? Kind of a self-destruct system so the...

I like Janet's idea of different colours. Pick a handful of summer shades. Or even solid shades with a single complimentary stripe. All different.

I am also inclined towards little flowers. Paint a solid, do a dot for the center, and then little...

I downloaded and installed it right behind you, Nasturtium. Been playing with it here-n-there to get the hang of it. Spent quite a bit of time browsing their artwork forums just looking at everything. I really enjoy the art that looks like really thin torn tissue paper. Like...

    Frequency Things

I have seen freq things come and go. Maybe some dialog. Not sure as I am retired from such things.

I was originally introduced to the idea of frequency seperation by an awesome tutorial called The Power of High Pass. This tut is what originally set me thinking of such things.
