Colorize 2 tone plaid?
Well hello all...it's been ages since I've posted as I've been busy in my new work as a photographer. I still dabble here and there in photo restoration but it's been a while. I've got a customer who handed me the attached photo to colorize but then told me the dress on the little girl was a 2 tone...

Hi Margaret,
I just had to jump in on this discussion and throw in my 5 cents.
I've had a nikon coolpix 990 for a couple of years now and had tried various other digital cameras. All I can say is that I hope my 990 doesn't break down...it's excellent and has given me hundreds...

Hi Dserkin,
Love the colors in this picture...my only question would be about the nose and mouth area. It just doesn't look quite right like maybe something is missing?
Might be that it's just me but wanted to mention it.

Hi Lance,
You might check the restoration challenge #17 and see how Cheri Karafa handled the silver...I tried it and it really worked pretty well.
Good luck!

Hi Thomas from small town central texas.
Well as we've discussed before I think our areas are very similar. I've been tapping into the scrap booking groups of ladies around here stressing not to use the original pictures but get copies made so that has generated a little business there...also...

Hi Jak,
Sounds like the place I live...I'm also 18 miles one way to the nearest town.
Well I started out by just telling any and everyone who would give me a moment of their time, (mainly friends) about what I was doing. I also put together a sample book of before and...

Well I'm using an HP 21" trinitron.
Like everyone else, I don't even notice the lines...and you do really have to look to find them.
I love the big monitor...much easier on the aging eyes.

Hi Jerry,
I did a search as well on the error message you were receiving and a large percentage of what I read dealt with "Norton" and the associated problems.
I'd say uninstall Norton before removing your ram first.
I've installed ram many times...

Well out here in the middle of nowhere we have a whopping - One choice for an ISP.
We belong to a Co-op phone company and they have a monopoly on the ISP business as well as who they will allow to provide long distance service.
In the past the connection was okay at best...but...

Just an idea Monocron,
But is there a chance you could take a picture of that small picture with a digital camera and work from there?
At least you'll be working with a larger image to enlarge and maybe it might even eliminate some of that grain problem.
