I used an almost-but-not-quite skin tone color painted on a separate layer set to overlay. It was much too orange, so I played with hue/sat levels until it looked more natural. On new layers over that, I used black and white set to overlay...

tyeise--i like all three, but my favorite is the first one. you've got a nice, soft touch with watercolors. excellent job on the colorization, too.
