I have a bunch of AKVIS files at the root of my hard drive. They have names such as ArtSuite.lic. They are obviously license files. They are all dated Dec. 23, 2009.
Does AKVIS still use this form of license file? May I delete these files? (I have updated all of my AKVIS software...

Dynamic Duo for PSE 8?
I've been a user of the Dynamic Duo (Dynamic Image and Color Correct) for quite some time. Changes in PSE (drat! Adobe always seems to do this!) make these not run in PSE 8, alas. Any chance for an update?

Re: Artsuite dmg won't mount
Well, I tried restarting my machine, and that took care of it. Weird that only the Artsuite DMG wouldn't mount.
(I should always remember to try rebooting before posting a trouble report....that seems to solve so many things!)

Re: Artsuite dmg won't mount
Absolutely NOTHING happens. I tried redownloading the dmg file in case the first time resulted in a corrupted file. It downloads, I double click, and absolutely nothing happens. No error message, no nothing!
I successfully downloaded and installed...

Artsuite dmg won't mount
I've just downloaded several updates to my AKVIS plugins. However, the Artsuite dmg file located at http://download.akvis.com/akvis-artsuite-plugin.dmg won't mount for me. (It's the Elements 6-8 version). Is there an alternate way I can get this file?
Thanks!

Re: Hidden Power Tools for PE6 with Snow Leopard
It would be great to have yet another update of dynamic duo, time permitting. I use them a great deal when I want to make a fairly quick job of enhancing photos that I don't feel a need to spend huge amounts of time on. Dynamic Duo is...

issue with Enhancer 10
Please see the quick video at http://screencast.com/t/hxqqsYWJX. Notice how the progress bar flickers oddly. Eventually Enhancer completes the process, but much more slowly than in version 9.5.
Thought you ought to know...

Enhancer 10.0 question
I've just upgraded to Enhancer 10.0. It isn't exactly clear how the "color tone correction" feature is supposed to work. I know I can drag various colors into the second row of cells, but it isn't clear exactly what that does. Is there some documentation available, or can you explain here?...

Re: Dynamic image and cheek lightening
Yes...this helps a great deal. Getting a better hang of masking is probably a good idea for me...it's a very powerful concept I feel I'm only just barely scratching the surface of.

Re: Dynamic image and cheek lightening
I'm not a real ace at masking. I understand the concept, but am not very proficient at it.
One option would be to simply have DI work only on the non-faces and use the original faces. The way I did this was to duplicate the background...

Re: Dynamic image and cheek lightening
Richard--thanks for the clarification, to which I will add:
Dynamic Image is NOT a 1-button "quick fix" a la "Auto Smart Fix" or other similar methods. I NEVER use those, because they always fail in one way or...

Re: Dynamic image and cheek lightening
I have found Dynamic Image to be the absolutely the best "quick fix" for almost all images. Of course, it isn't perfect, and taking the time to individually correct images is better.
My photography is pretty much "chronicle...

Re: Dynamic image and cheek lightening
Thanks all for the comments. Perhaps masking is the best way to go. Dynamic Image really makes images "pop" (particularly outdoor images), but doesn't work as well with flash, because by increasing the dynamic range it can wash out f...

Re: Dynamic image and cheek lightening
Thanks for the tip. I'll try that.
I'm uploading here a better example of what I'm talking about. Notice how the entire face is way too bright in the "after" image. That's just using Dynamic Image in the "stock"...
