Re: Regarding the retouching done on these pics...
There is an enhancement in the blacks... and the whites... which also affects the color.. in your images.
How do you do this in Photoshop??
One way to do this is to open your image... go to the bottom of the Layers...Last edited by ray12; 02-03-2017, 04:51 PM.

Re: girl portrait with the eyebrows suck
You did really great work in your before and after image here https://adobe.ly/2ktoGnk. Very nice skin cleaning, great compositing and background choice.
For me in... some of your other images... the face area shown is very small...

The girls in the image are dark. They need their luminance raised so they become brighter and more visible.
This is best accomplishes using a curve or layer adjustment layer. Go to the bottom of the Layers Pallet and click on the 1/2 moon "Adjustment...

Yes there are "Flyaways" on the edge to fix up... but for me...the "Cross Over Hairs"in the main body of the hair are just as offensive as the edge hair....Last edited by ray12; 01-09-2017, 03:08 PM.

Re: Editing lace clothes
Lightening up and desaturating the darker blue in the shadow area is usually the way many people address this issue. They try to "iron out" the difference in the darker and lighter parts of the fold...preferring tobring up the darker shadow areas to...Last edited by ray12; 07-30-2016, 11:32 AM.

Re: Terminology, terminology. Is it retouch or edi
I hear you. This is a modern day term that has been pushed upon us by some newer pushy people who prefer to call things their way...instead of what has been standard for 20+ years. A retoucher is NOT an Editor.
Yes...if...

Re: How to achieve these colours ?
Every image you get to work on has some tonality in it that can be adjusted to artistic advantage. Not every image looks great with a green tint to the whites like in the first image, or a magenta tint in the second one...or a drop in saturation like...

Re: Cut out hair from Grey Background
I regularly use a light battleship gray seamless background paper for my cutouts. Some people use the overly highly saturated blue and green that was once great for less sensitive TV cameras to pick up... but... many people today over light those...

Re: Terminology, terminology. Is it retouch or edi
I can remember a few years ago over on another forum... the term "Editor"...coming up. There was HOT debate about why "Retoucher" wasnt appropriate any more... even if it has been that way for 20+ years of conventional...Last edited by ray12; 07-15-2016, 10:37 AM.
