I also have the 6x8 Intous and love it. I was lucky enough to have several family members combine their resources as a Christmas present a few years back so that's how I was able to afford mine but even if I had had to pruchase it myself, it would've been well worth the money. I use it all the time...

Thanks for the tip Con. I definately liked the results you got on your example. I'll have to give it a try. What I intended was to give people just the most simple basics so beyond that anything to improve that is a plus. I think the more options available to us gives us that much more control....

Looks like you're coming along pretty good Melv. You'll just have to play around with some color blends or maybe stay close to the color like a violet with maybe pink or a blue with a light turquoise. Grey scale is good too. Black or dark grey with real light grey to white make a nice backdrop. ...

What I usually do, if I plan to reuse it, is to open a canvas in a high resolution say 300 dpi or higher if I plan to create a poster size portrait. That way if you need it for a lower resolution image, you can always lower the resolution without any loss as opposed to making it too low a resolution...

Hi Melv, there's no stupid questions here. Chances are others didn't understand the description either so you are helping them in the process. That's always a good thing here.
Ok, lets try to clear it up a bit. In step 1, you open a blank canvas in the size and resolution you...

Hi Albatrosss,
I'm glad I was helpful in clarifying things for you. Lets see if I can do it again.
For me the pen tool is the most comfortable way to work. It is hard to be precise with the lasso tool but if you prefere that method what I would do is to use it as closely...

I promise to give them a try but for now I have to work on some sinful ways around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. My trouble is, if I make it, I eat it and eat it and eat it......

I'm not that old.I grew up in a town not too far removed from Mayberry where everyone knows everyone else so I guess the candy scare didn't reach us as quickly as in the big city but I do remember having to inspect our candy for razorblades or pins etc due to the Urban Legions of the time....

Boy, this sure brings back memories. My mother was known in the neighborhood for giving out homemade popcorn balls for Halloween. She used to keep a huge plastic garbage can specifically for making them (Never used for garbage of course) and she would fill it to the top with popcorn and that was the...

I'd like to see this thread E-mailed to Adobe. You guys have some great ideas for the next version. Ed, I didn't think about the history save but now that you mentioned it, I can recall how many times I closed out accidentally and was left with no way to back track except starting from the original...

Since it's a beta program I suspect you would encounter some bugs but as these are spotted and corrected I think it's well on it's way to being a powerful tool. I don't have Mozilla Foxfire so I didn't encounter that but it's a good warning to those who do. I just started using it so I haven't run...
