Hello to anyone who remembers me. Just popped in and found some stuff missing.
What happened to the old challenges? Lots of hard work went into those.

Thanks CJ, was almost a miss with the overcast weather we had at the time. The folks in Cape Town got some really stunning shots with a really huge tail with the ocean and the mountains as a backdrop....

I've gone over to Thunderbird (Mozilla's email software). It's way better than Outlook Express. Has a wonderful feature of identifying what you regard as junk. It can also be set up so that mail does not open automatically in a viewing pane.

Duplicate layer
Blur duplicate (I used GB r=4)
Add hide all mask
Paint over blemishes on mask with a low opacity white brush.
Just be careful, you are losing skin texture here, so you may have to add noise to simulate texture....

Barry, I did mention it on one of your other threads, for hair restoration, one pixel width, low opacity, black, shades of grey and white brushes are what you need. You want to avoid going overboard with the hair restoration, keeping it in line with the detail in the rest of the pic.
