I'd say it depends much on the hair color as blond/light hairs pulls more color cast than dark ones....

The possible PP: On the gritty look some "dragan"-techniques and a lot of dodge and burn to emphasize the wrinkles and lots of compositing (montaging people in the appropriate backgrounds...would be my guess

hm, have you tried the "Color Match"-Option? Open the Files, stay on target image (the one you want to apply the color, go to IMAGE/ADJUSTMENTS/MATCH COLOR and on the lower third select your SOURCE image. May need some tweaking, though

Hm, could be in the original shot the modell stood on her feet and they masked her out of the background, rotated the photo or the modell was lying on a chair or something and they masked that out, anyhow she wasn't floating :-)
