Topaz DeNoise not having any effect on image?

I just thought maybe ‘emulating’ the autochrome look would be a fairly established technique with some basic ‘ground rules’.
Regarding Match Color, in my experience you just list the file to use as a source.- is that what you mean?

Snapseed (ios)
I tried all the Save, Save copy, Export but all seem to result in a Jpeg file.
I am opening a Tif and want to save it as a Tif after editing in Snapseed.
Can you advise ?

I have an available light portrait where the sun reflects off the subjects forehead. I tried the Adj brush in ACR. I also tried to 'burn' it in by saving the raw file as a tif and creating a new 'soft light' layer & burning it in with a 15% opacity brush. It's reasonable, I have some tone in the...

It was shot as a Raw file (I only shoot raw).
Processed in ACR.
i added a small amount of the new Texture (setting the slider at 10)
and some Clarity slider.
Maybe those are creating the problem you see....

I went back to the raw file and moved the Brightness slider back to zero (it was at -100). Now the image is washed out and incorrectly exposed but the dark halo has gone. I never would have thought that the Brightness slider would do that.
Now to try and get back to the look without the brightness...
