I tried a littele different approach:

First check the chanels..and you see that there is always no or very little Texture in the red, the green is in Portrraits allways the best and the Blue is often to dark...

What the Printer does with Corbjins Pictures is called Lith- Printing This is an analogue technique with a special Positiv Developer...I did it for Years by myself but until now i think it could not be simulated digitally....

I have tried it as Der W explained....frequenz seperation than blurred The LP even Further to get rif of the wirnkels. To get even rid of the irregularities of the Leather copy a part of a good leather of The HF layer to the clipboard...

One of the first Books i read about Photoshop was Katrin Eismanns first Edition of retouching & restauration and there she explained this burred Nois and embossing technik..and i used it...

Thats my first Thread here because i need a litte help.


I have found a littel trick that i used mostly for quick and dirty retouching and very bad skin.... and sometimes it works very fine and saves a lot of time...

when there is a good skin part i copied that part...

I also have zeroed out everything...but then i have to adjust the Brightnes Slider to the Camera.meter...i Photographed a very exakt lit Greycard and adjusted the RGB numbers to 119 not 128 because the Middle grey of the Card is measured...
