Use solid color layer over the image. Color sampled via eyedrop tool. (215,182,173) in this case. Set layer blend to color.
Tweek the color by using levels adjustment on the background copy underneath layer 1.

I like the idea of curtains as background. However, in olden days they usually use heavy velvet curtains. My suggestion would be to put some sheen and remove the pattern.

Steve, wonderful rendition. I noticed that that you removed the blurry red colors in the back which is good. I think you should also tone down the green color because it seems to interfere with the stem and leaves of the flower itself.
