I got this result by simply using curves and increasing the curve on the red channel only. I think it looks pretty realistic.

You didn't say what graphics program you are using, but if it's photoshop, this is what I did. First I smoothed your picture overall to reduce the noise. Then I just ran the grain filter, found under the filter/texture menu. Set the mode to speckle and the sliders to Intensity.... 50 Contrast....58....

replied to Photoshop CS system requirements
I have read not so favorable reviews of Windows ME before , but I've been running it for at least 2 years with no problems at all.
I'm happy with photoshop 7 so if it's going to mean I have to upgrade windows along with photoshop, I'll just stick with the setup I currently have.

    Photoshop CS system requirements

    Adobe lists
Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 3 or Windows XP
as a system requirement. Since I have Windows ME, I'm wondering if anyone is running Photoshop CS on ME. Will it run on less than Adobe has listed?

Ed, last Christmas my wife and I bought both our sons DVD players, they were very cheap, made by Apex and they work great. On the other hand my wife and I bought ourselves one, made by Sony and we paid 300 for that one. Let me tell you, we won't even rent a dvd to watch on our Sony because probably...

The way I do it is use a curves adjustment layer, ok the curves adjustment without making any adjustments and on the curves layer set the mode to luminosity, then double click on the curves layer to go back inand make your adjustments. Doing this, the colors won't shift. Hope I explained this well...

I used a curves adjustment layer set to luminosity mode and adjusted the individual color channels seperately Then I bumped the red value up slightly with a hue/saturation adjustment layer.

Here's my attempt at your photo.

First I duplicated the background layer twice set to multiply blend mode, then I applied layer masks to both duped layers applying black to white gradiants to selectively apply the multiply blend mode. Flattened and added a new overlay layer selectively...

I purchased the Aiptek Pencam 1.3 SD at WalMart for 29.88. I don't know if it was a pricing mistake because elsewhere it is listed at 69.99. I've seen it at the same price at two different WalMarts, so at least they are being consistent....
