Boy it has been a long time since I have been on Retouch Pro, so much has changed, for the good but of course this was always a great site.

MICROTEK scanmaker 6800
I have never used the function for scanning negatives, a friend asked me to scan some negatives for him, on my scanner there is a black plastic sheet with a hole in it for transparencies, I laid the neg on this as it said horizontal and scanned it, I just got a bad scan of the negative. The help section...

ps cs trick/tip
You can place pics on scanner not straight, scan them, then in ps go to automate, choose crop and straighten photos. PS looks for straight edges, straightens them, copies each to its own separate window.
