I reworked the image and cleaned up everything I could see based on the feed back.
I lowered the contrast to clear up the out of gamut (reds) got rid of the color casts ( I believe) toned...

Please view the attached images before and after. The before is a scan from an inkjet image on an 81/2 by 11" on plain paper. The after image is a completed work I intend to transfer to canvas. Thank you for the feedback. I did load the ICC profile in CS5 to work in proof colors and the print was very very close to the image rendered on the monitor. The monitor was calibrated with the spyder3. I am hoping the the reproduction on canvas...

Thank you for the feed back. I am hoping the canvas reproduction will reduce some of the background. Their will be a 1 1/2" to 2" wrap on the canvas so I am estimating that that much will be cropped do to the wrap.

This is my first attempt at reworking an image for reproduction on canvas. I used both Corel Painter and Photoshop CS5. The image was done in black and white against a painterly back ground .

This my first attempt at a portrait. She if 4 yrs old at the time of this photo (last year) and is of fair complexion (hence the porcelin like skin tone). Other then darkening the background I really didn't do to much to the image other then applying some minor touch up with the Nik filter for portraits...
