Re: Help achieving low contrast fashion look
Sooo many ways to create colour effects. Often the methods are case sensitive too. Try a simple approach on the 'red' girl (your posted sample, not the original).
Make two copies of the image so you have 3 pix in a layer stack...

Re: Post your tribute art here.
Holy Socks Batman! Loved the tongue in cheek and cod philosophy of the TV series. To me Ward was the best as was Gorshin as the joker. KAPOW!!

Re: Looking for help retouching products
Yep, the attempts to sneak in ads are rather pathetic. The links lead to the same old sites with never an address block to be seen. Talking of which of which, I've heard Banjaxyourfeckinpixels.com are great at masks that nearly fit.

Re: Looking for help retouching products
I haven't retouched jewellery in years but I remember clients being really fussy about the precious stones. They want to see every cut facet well defined and each stone defined against the mount. Ugly metal reflections need to be removed which...

Re: Regarding Pen Tool vs Polygonal Lasso Tool
The pen tool enables you to constantly edit and refine a line to fit the target edge. Duplication and further adjustment of a line is also a useful feature when working on similar shaped products.
Poly lasso has its uses but I'd hate...

Re: Graident Mask inside an adjustment layer mask?
Method 1 (of many!) Step by step sequence. I have used a simple blue shape for clarity but it's the same process for a photo. Red colour is the feathered selection displayed as a mask for display purposes only. Just alter the values I...

Re: Help: How to remove reflections from a pool
Seriously folks? How does the surface of the water, in any way, relate to the sky in the scene or indeed the sun drenched poolside. Water with ripple shadows but no highlights?? You really need to consider the impact on the whole scene when...

Re: Help: How to remove reflections from a pool
I'd find a pool shot from one of the cheaper photo libraries and either blend it into the existing left edge water surface or totally replace the water surface, maintaining the details that integrate the new water in the scene.

Re: Retouching hair
LOL. Yeh, you could do it for $3 but why would you. There are no easy fixes for 'bad' hair and it's time consuming to achieve good results. Moreover, unless its a hair themed image, no one will appreciate the work involved. On your sample image I would not have removed...

Re: New to RetouchPro—Thread Suggestions + Questio
Stating the obvious perhaps but it would have been easier to comp 3 focussed shots and create the ambience with blurs and curves. I wouldn't bother retouching the text; much easier to reset it and blend it into the bottle - your customer...
